Bernie Ouimet sits at his organ in his home Thursday, June 21, 2012 in Easton, N.Y. Ouimet is a church organist who will be singing Sunday at St. Mary's Church in Waterford, where a mass will be celebrated in French for the Feast St. John the Baptist.

Giles Senecal, a Quebec native, and Cohoes resident, has helped Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute hockey players with housing and learning the English language. Emma Lajeunesse, aka Marie-Louise-Cecile-Emma (GYE) aka Emma Albani (1847-1930) Hired as a soloist for Saint Joseph’s Church, Albany, NY.  According to Wikipedia, she was born in Chambly, Quebec.  Her family moved to Plattsburgh, NY in 1852 and in 1865, moved to Albany, NY.  She became a popular singer, organist, and teacher of singing.
